The long-awaited spring sun is finally breaking through the rain clouds of the last two weeks. The temperatures are rising and it's time to enjoy the beautiful weather! And where better to do that than in the idyllic Hellbrunn Park?
Hellbrunn Park, located in the south of the city (just 5-10 minutes by car from our apartment), is not only a place of historical significance, but also an oasis of peace and beauty. With its well-kept green spaces, bubbling fountains and hidden corners, it offers a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
A stroll through the park is not only a way to relax, but also a journey through history. The magnificent Hellbrunn Avenue, lined with majestic plane trees, leads to one of Salzburg's most famous landmarks - Hellbrunn Palace. The architecture of the palace is impressive, and a visit to the extensive gardens is well worth it.
As you stroll through the park, you will come across little surprises: hidden statues, romantic pavilions and picturesque ponds. The park is particularly at its most beautiful in spring, when the trees turn green and flowers bloom in all the colors of the rainbow.
For those who like to be active, Hellbrunn Park also offers numerous options. From cozy picnics on the green meadows to long jogs along the park paths - there is something for everyone here.
And of course, don't forget to visit the famous trick fountains that Hellbrunn Palace is known for. This unique attraction not only promises a refreshing cool down, but also lots of fun for young and old.
Overall, a walk in Hellbrunn Park is an absolute must for anyone visiting Salzburg. The combination of nature, history and relaxation makes this place a gem that simply has to be experienced.
Since this week, a new - rather striking - stone sculpture has been standing guard between the trees in the area between the park and the stone theater. "Dem Bam sei Dank", an artificial head with an impressive nose and a mouth that seems to be open to speak, is an artistic installation (Melina Harting - Sculpture/Mozarteum University of Art) under the motto "tradition2go". Perhaps you will spot it?
